Kipod: Smart Security for Astana and Baku
Intellectual video analytics platform Kipod works in test mode in Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, providing tools for creating a safe environment in crowded places.
In Azerbaijan, Kipod was introduced at the end of 2016 on the eve of the Islamic Solidarity Games. CCTV cameras integrated with the platform were installed at the entrances / exits of the metro, in the city center, at the exits of tunnels, intersections. This allowed us to comply with international standards for large-scale sporting events. During the Baku’s stage of Formula-1 racing, the cameras connected to Kipod platform were placed around the perimeter of event. Every person who attended the race went through the Kipod face recognition system.
Today, the intellectual platform of video analytics continues to work in test mode. Training to work with Kipod takes several days, and full immersion into the system occurs in the operating mode. Synesis specialists provide ongoing technical support and promptly advise both remotely and locally in case of questions.
In Kazakhstan, Kipod operates in pilot mode at 7 railway stations: in Aktobe, Astana, Almaty, Kostanay, Karaganda, Borovoy and Kokshetau. By the end of the year, the system will cover 18 large railway stations, and in 2019 – 35 stations. Within 3 years, the platform will be able to unite more than 500 thousand video cameras across the country and replace separated law enforcement systems, which often duplicate each other. The monitoring system for public safety also would include the existing system of traffic regulation, as well as external information systems.
Kipod – an intelligent Cloud-based platform for monitoring public safety, is a key element for concept of Smart City. It allows to search for criminals and missing persons, hijacked cars, as well as detect emergency situations. Optimizes traffic, adjusts traffic lights, detects traffic jams and smoke.
